The 30-minute tour is followed by a nutritious lunch served by members and staff in the Academy dining room. An informal Q&A session is held over lunch.

This past week, we were delighted to host 20 guests from The Northern Trust Company. We truly appreciate their interest in our mission!

Lunch & Learn experiences typically last an hour, from noon until 1pm. What better way to spend your lunchtime with colleagues?  If your business or group (up to 20 guests) is interested is scheduling a Lunch & Learn, please contact William McKeever, Director, at 941-921-9936.

Junior League of Sarasota Visits the Academy https://www.academysrq.org/en/posts/happenings/junior-league-of-sarasota-visits-the-academy/ Wed, 09 Jan 2019 14:00:00 +0000 http://127.0.0.1/github/bayfrontmedia/academysrq.org/web/?p=868 The Academy welcomed the Junior League of Sarasota to our facility for their monthly meeting. The group of approximately 35 women meets regularly to discuss and further their mission of promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through effective action and leadership. Ashley Giasone, Chair of New Member Education, had previously taken a tour and asked if we could host one of their meetings.

The Academy enjoys partnering with area non-profit organizations and was pleased to offer the use of our facility. During their meeting, Academy Director William McKeever, member Herika Martinez, and staff Joanne Campbell, addressed the group and spoke about our program, mission and goals. After the Junior League concluded their meeting, they moved to our Arts and Communication classroom to help us complete a couple of routine tasks, including silverware polishing and rolling, collating and assembling marketing materials, and reviewing our newly launched website.

We thank the Junior League of Sarasota for their support of our organization and spreading the word about what we offer.
