Although located in Sarasota County, the Academy is available to adults seeking recovery who live on the Gulf Coast, from Manatee to Charlotte Counties. Our members are very dedicated to their recovery, and those who utilize public transportation might need up to 2-3 hours for a one-way commute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The visit of Ms. Susie Bowie, Executive Director of the Manatee Community Foundation helped strengthen our emerging relationship with Manatee County. Ms. Bowie is passionate about improving the quality of life in the Suncoast Region and offered to help connect us to valuable resources and training opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ms. Bowie visited the Academy, thanks to the invitation of Academy Board member and Sarasota Deputy Chief of Police, Pat Robinson. They are pictured above with member, Aaron Collmer, who offered the tour.
