Florida’s Department of Children and Families (DCF) is committed to partnering with stakeholders to strengthen its Recovery-Oriented System of Care. DCF Secretary Chad Poppell recently welcomed representatives of the Florida Clubhouse Coalition to discuss strategies and goals. The Academy was joined in Tallahassee by colleagues from Hope Clubhouse (Ft. Myers), Gainesville Opportunity Center (Gainesville) and Key Clubhouse (Miami).

With a vision to “move DCF from a crisis agency to a prevention agency,” Secretary Poppell supports the involvement of Clubhouse programs across the state. Vocational training, job placements and reduced crisis care for Clubhouse members are valued components of the recovery process.
