School to Work Transitions

A new partnership for transition age youth.

We were pleased to host a recent visit by Ms. Sonia Figaredo-Alberts, Executive Director of Student Services with Sarasota County Schools. Ms. Figaredo-Alberts is a passionate champion for the educational and career success of Sarasota students. She has created many successful partnerships between Sarasota County Schools and area businesses, human service providers and state agencies.

The Academy is joining Sarasota County Schools as a new partner for transition age youth, providing post-secondary students living with a mental health diagnosis an option to develop work skills and build a future career. We look forward to working closely with Ms. Figaredo-Alberts and her team.
