Members and staff work together to create a snapshot of our uncommon culture.
We have been extra busy these last several weeks, conceptualizing, planning and creating our Annual Report. Our goal is to create a publication that aptly captures the spirit of our community. Not an easy task!
This week, the Academy has looked a little bit like a Hollywood set, with lights and cameras everywhere, and members waiting for their close-ups. Each team had a moment in the spotlight, highlighting its unique contributions to our mission. Photos from the Business & Tech team will show our business-savvy members collaborating on the projects that keep the Academy humming along smoothly. Readers of the report will see the magic of screen-sharing, and get to see the big smiles behind the phone calls that they place to us. Arts & Communications photos will show members using the tools and technology that serve to create the face of the Academy, our “brand.” Seeing the craft of creating logos or the making of a marketing video will surely be a treat. And speaking of treats, the Culinary Arts team was brimming with colors and textures that you could almost taste (lucky us, we did!), and shows our budding chefs delving into creating mouth-watering fare served with finesse.
Behind these photographs lies our story. A picture may be worth a thousand words, but that doesn’t mean that we were off the hook to tell you who we are. Each team will share a little bit about themselves. This won’t be a laundry list of accomplishments or statistics, more so a glimpse into the spirit of us. Our hope is that our readers our intrigued; that they come away wanting more. And to that we say “please, come on in.”
